ISRAEL, A BLOOD THIRSTY MURDEROUS NATION

Israel is bombing Palestinians along the Gaza Strip. They are getting ready to launch ground forces and more killing.
 My image of Israel is a video of a Palestinian father, Jamal Al-Durrah trying to protect his 12 year old son Mohammed Al-Durrah from Israeli gun fire; a father's most horrific nightmare made real on a city street. Despite the father's pleas his son Jamal is shot and killed by Israeli bullets.
This incident, which took place on Sept. 30th 2000 lives forever in my mind.
The United States president, Barack Obama, issued a statement, "we support Israel's steps to protect themselves" but he is not speaking for me. And I am certain he is not speaking for any decent human being who objects to bullying and wholesale murder.
Israel is doing just that. And I feel the way decent humans must have felt in the late 1930s when they read about the Germans and the atrocities that they were perpretrating on Jewish citizens.
I can not, in good conscience, sit idly by and let the rest of the world think that all Americans are pro Israel. I most certainly am not.
I see the Israelis government for exactly what it is: a blood thirsty aggressor. A militarily superior power, courtesy of wealthy Jewish American benefactors, using air strikes to rain death upon its weaker neighbor, the Palestinians. What is the Palestinian crime? Existing apparently.
I am writing this in hopes that others around the world will speak up and DEMAND that Israel cease killing innocent men, women and children at once. Not in the name of any make believe god or nonsensical holy belief, but in the name of decency and what is the right thing to do.

Where is the logic behind, 
"I love you humans so much, I will make a special one who will walk among you for thirty years performing miracles then have him tortured and nailed alive to a cross just to absolve you of your sins so that you may spend an eternity in some vague heavenly place doing god knows what" ? 
The alternative that if you do not accept Jesus Christ into your heart i.e. consciousness, that you will spend eternity in the pain of burning fire and suffering in "hell". 
How ridiculous is either of those two scenarios? 
Yet millions of people honestly believe that this is their lot. 


That this is why they are here and where they will go when their bodies cease to function. It is truly embarrassing to me that they sincerely accept this as truth. And I lose a great deal of respect for them because of that.

This James Eagen Holmes has etched himself a place in history. Violence gets everyone's attention real quick. Maybe that was his point. Along with the "depraved indifference to human life"
Ironically, it was during The Dark Knight Rises, a film that is fraught with gun fights, explosions, predictable good versus evil,

"you have taken so much and left us so little"

I can't help but wonder about idividuals who will secretly worship James Eagen Holmes as a hero; writers who are scrambling to come up with a screen-play of the shooting itself;  possibly even a video game.

And the fact that the theater in Aurora, CO. and theaters all over this planet was and will be filled to capacity for weeks to come only confirms humankind's voyeuristic blood lust.

There are far too many individuals who have been brainwashed into thinking that life is all about making money.
They forge their existense to acquire cash and things like houses, cars, jewelry, tangible goods; they develop a love of wealth.

However posessions are of little comfort if you have no one to share them with. No one to laugh with, or hug close to you. Very sad, because the ones whose lives are bereft of loving relationships, often fail to realize that until it is far too late. They can never get back all the time they have wasted.

"The one with the most toys wins" is funny but not really accurate.

I have a wealth of LOVE, an idea, an emotion.

Love rules; it uplifts and empowers. It elevates someone from being a pauper to a King.

GAY AS AN INSULT, an APOLOGY

I have to say that I am guilty of homosexual name-calling. And I have to apologize. I have always equated being gay as a character flaw. As sexual mis-wiring. Even if I believe that to be so. I also know that we are all humans with drives to give love. Straight gay or otherwise, we all start in the womb and end in the tomb.
Recently, some very small minded people have been hurling "fag" and "Homo" and "cocksucker" at me. They were upset because I called them "spineless douchebag cowards" for putting up with being mistreated and accepting it by a website's incompetent administrator.

While I know it isn't true, it still stings.

And I think, but why? You do the same thing with the goal to hurt others, usually guys, by implying that they have failed as men if they do what I consider being woman-like.

So sue me. Im a flawed man too. I resort to insults to hurt other people's feelings. That is malicious; that is what I do when I'm angry, I seek to hurt others. When I analyze it though, it puts me in a very petty childish light. It makes me disgusted with myself.

So I am writing this blog as a self-admonishment. I will attempt to channeling my anger into some more positive outlet.

As for people who are gay, I know you are just folks who happen to have different sexual proclivities than I do. You are just like anyone, to be judged on a person by person basis. I have to earn your respect and friendship just as you would have to earn mine. And I choose my friends by how well we can speak to each other and get along. Share ideas, laughter and observations about this MIRACLE consciousness that we are so fortunate to have been given before we become dust....

I know that LOVE is the key. It is a feeling that is so uplifting, it transcends all else.

I will strive to maintain that stance from this moment forward. But I am still an Italian hothead, so I can't totally promise that I will not occasionally still slip. ;-)

JUMPING THE GUN! & OBAMA IS WRONG

Today is December 16th. Christmas is December 25th.
But I see all these people wishing you a MERRY CHRISTMAS in the blogs since about October 31st.
Does anyone ever wish anyone a MERRY anything else? Do you say
"Hey man, have a MERRY time at the bar tonight" to your friend who's going out drinking?
But back to my original point. Why give Christmas wishes so prematurely? Do you even know what Christmas is supposed to be dedicated to?
It's supposed to be the birth date of Jesus Christ. Mary Joseph a manger in Bethlehem about 2009 years ago.
So essentially what you're doing is telling people to have a MERRY time on Jesus's birthday weeks and months before his birthday allegedly happened.
What's the rush people? Or are you just calendar challenged?

And could you please stop being so cliched? Here are some other words for MERRY: Happy, HollyJolly,Well Fed,Pleasant,Mirthful,Sublime, Content, Adequate, Naked (Im happy when I'm naked), Splendiferous, Scrumptious, Marvypoo, Whimsical, Productive,Feliz, Ecstatic, Blissful, Joyful, Gleeful, Exciting, and Mirthful.

But let's set some perimeters too. How about from about the 21st up to and including the 25th?
